Welcome to Stepping Stanes Youth Cycling Club.

Stepping Stanes is a youth cycle coaching club based in Dumfries, Scotland. We run cycle coaching designed for young riders age. 8-12. Our aim is to improve bike skills within a safe and fun environment. When we decided to set the age range at 8 - 12 it was so that there would not be too much disparity in abilities. We hope that once the club is more established again and we have more people trained as coaches then we will be able to lower the age range to cater for younger riders.

If you want to come along and try a couple of sessions please contact our chairperson Fiona Walker (fiona.walker@scottishcycling.org )  before attending.

We do ask you to become a member after you have tried us out. Its £10 for the first child and £15 for two children and £20 for three children, please ask for a membership form at the sessions.

We will  meet at the David Keswick Centre during the winter months and during the summer we meet at Heathhall forest or Mabie forest at the steppingstanes clubhouse (in the courtyard behind the old bike shop) starting at  6pm to 7.30.  We still charge £2 per rider and they receive a drink and snack at the end of the session.

We can let you know our plans and information regarding the sessions through this website or find us at "steppingstanes" on Facebook.
